Basic every day health care is somehow a luxury in the Koninko-Mandou region. Koninko-Mandou Development Foundation is committed to making sure that simple medical evaluations, such as Primary Health care awareness and Wellness are received through the provision of clinical dental care; and that tuberculosis, cancer, and other chest related illness are screened for and prevented through awareness-building. The Foundation also supports blood pressure and cardiovascular risk screening for families.

Infrastructural maintenance

Infrastructural maintenance is a central concern for the region. Besides helping to empower local schools in the region, the Foundation funded the renovation of the region’s oldest community and worship center in early 2009.

The Koninko-Mandou people are strong farmers. Here are Farmers transporting their products to the market near the capital, Conakry, for marketing. The region comprises farmers and miners. Farming materials are scarce and the people cannot afford them due the high cost. The Foundation is committed to helping small farmers materials and products for sustainable agricultural activities.
